Specializing in Adult & Pediatric
CranioSacral Therapy

We all have a story.

Like many in this town, I moved to State College to attend
Penn State in 1997. Little did I know what a wonderful life
awaited me here. I was born and raised in Pittsburgh, Pa.,
but have now spent more than half my life in Central Pa.
In my years at Penn State I studied Earth Science, Geoscience,
and Photography.
A random summer job landed me at the Penn State Horticulture
Research farm in Rock Springs, where I worked for 10 years. I have
had the privilege to grow a wide variety of vegetables, small fruit,
culinary and medicinal herbs and cut flowers in my time at the research farm.
I have found that plants have a great deal to teach us!
In high school and college, I suffered from migraines for many years and I was pointed in the direction of CranioSacral Therapy in 2000. I had never heard of it, but I was told that it could really help with migraines. This was the information that sent me on my journey to discover bodywork.
After a year or so of monthly bodywork, and a new found appreciation for it, I decided to go to Mt Nittany Institute of Natural Health in State College to become a Certified Massage Therapist in 2004. It seemed that all the years at the farm of massaging soil and nurturing plants translated into massaging and nurturing people towards health. I have been migraine free for almost two decades now!
I was drawn toward the light-touch modalities while in school at Mt Nittany Institute and took CranioSacral Therapy I in 2005 through the Upledger Institute International. I have since gone on to take CST II, SER I, Pediatric CST, Touching the Brain I, SERII, and even a human cadaver dissection course, as well as many other amazing courses.
Having two beautiful boys, both born at home, has been a further education in applying my skills and knowledge to little ones.
Life, and therapy, have continued to help expand my views and understanding of how trauma and grief and mental health and societal pressures can vastly influence how you perceive the world, as well as how these things effect your health.
I have learned that every client is a teacher, and I am so grateful for the amazing education I receive everyday!
